Halloween begins with a young Michael Myers, caught literally red-handed after viciously murdering his sister. After spending 20 years confined to a sanitarium, Michael escapes just in time for Halloween. He hunts down a nifty William Shatner mask and begins silently stalking Laurie Strode (a young Jamie Lee Curtis), for reasons we learn as the film progresses, all the while being pursued by his psychiatrist, Dr. Loomis (a terrific Donald Pleasence). The film builds methodically, unlike today’s quick-to-the-chase kills, and ends the way all films meant to terrorize should.
On this special episode, Tony Moran – the face of Michael Myers in John Carpenter’s Halloween – stopped by to discuss working on that film. Tony also discuss Halloween’s legacy, his affinity for Donald Pleasence, and even clears up the confusion some audiences have with Nick Castle’s Shape. It’s an interview any fan of Halloween will love!
