Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) is at a crossroads. Living a year longer than his father even did, he is debating stepping down from the Enterprise and heading off on much more grounded missions. The monotony of space is wearing on him. That is, until Krall (Idris Elba) and his minions attack the Enterprise for ideology unknown. This leads to Kirk, Spock, Bones and the rest of the crew to fight for their individual survival on an unknown planet where each step could be their last.
On this 50th Anniversary of the Star Trek franchise, we decided to head into deep space and discuss Star Trek Beyond in full. How does this latest mission compare to previous films, does it suffer at the hands of new director Justin Lin, and most importantly: Do they boldly go where no Star Trek film has gone before?
Join Aaron, Justin and Scott for their conversation and listen to the latest episode of The Hollywood Outsider.
