Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we have an old friend for you…

After six episodes of Westworld this season one would assume the picture is starting to become more clear. But turns out Phase Space might have just confused us even more. Aaron and Troy attempt to unravel the intriguing pairings taking place, as each has a very different perspective on where this is all going. While some are consumed with what is going on with Bernard, we try to ascertain WHEN is Bernard, WHERE is Bernard, and WHO is Bernard?
Also this week, is Dolores conflicted about her choice to upgrade Teddy? Is Teddy still the manbot we thought he was, or has our favorite hero been modified forever? Maeve finally finds her daughter, but scenarios are changing for everyone, and perhaps this wasn’t the most well thought out plan to begin with. And, of course, there is an old friend to contend with. Don’t miss this episode of the Beyond Westworld podcast!

The Future is a Simulation

Thanks to Adam Brickley in the facebook group. This one is now on the map that the future we see with Bernard and Stubbs and Strand is actually a simulation being run in the Cradle itself. The hive mind is trying to prepare itself for what a future incursion on the park from Delos would be like and how it needs to protect itself.

The Cradle is the Weapon

If the cradle itself is a giant simulation machine for the hosts improvisation skills, and since Delos and the park are logging all of the guests experiences in the park, could it not be safe to assume that the Cradle is running simulations and improvisations about the humans as well, in theory predicting possible future outcomes or even the future itself? Sounds like a weapon to use against your enemies to me.

Dolores is Pregnant

Lisa Joy has stated that the hosts are more “man” than “machine” She says,

The hosts are basically organic. It’s cheaper that way to print them out. They eat, they sleep, they have sex, they can poop. It’s really like a human body with the one difference being where we have a brain, they have a CPU. There’s a lot of potential for them. If you had a part of your brain that was a computer, self improvement would be a lot easier.

And since nothing show on the screen in this show is trivial, given the opening credits, the bedroom scene with Jim Delos pleasuring himself, and the sex between Dolores and Teddy, is it possible that Dolores is preggers with Teddy’s baby?

Bernard is Human

Bernard was Ford’s first successful human clone, using three pieces of evidence to support this madness!

• The fact that the DNA sniffer let Bernard into the bunker when he arrived with Charlotte indicates that he has human DNA, or at least something resembling it.
• The fact that Bernard’s main “symptom” of system failure is a shaking hand—much like James Delos’.
• The fact that Bernard remembers visiting a lab under Ford’s direction, printing a red control unit for another human clone, and wandering off with it.
