Interview with Director Nathan Adloff | Miles

Miles tells the story of a young man desperately searching for a way out of a small town in Illinois. His original plans for a college-bound escape are thwarted when his dad suddenly passes away, as Miles and his mother learn that his father had squandered his college fund on a romantic fling. Desperate for a scholarship, Miles signs up for the only sport he’s any good at, volleyball. Of course, with a small-town school that features solely a girls volleyball team, Miles is forced to confront modern stereotypes and challenge the status quo.

Miles stars Tim Boardman, Molly Shannon, Missi Pyle and Paul Reiser, and tells the sweet tale of a regular teen just trying to leave small town life behind him.
For our exclusive interview, we talk to writer-director Nathan Adloff about leaving his own small town, the personal journey of making Miles a reality, rounding up his cast, and much more.
