Live Without Limits
Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we have a podcast for you…
We have arrived at our final destination before HBO’s Westworld makes its world premiere on October 2nd. This week, we take a tour of the park itself and discuss everything we know and assume about the upcoming series. Actors, characters, trailers – everything is fair game including bonus content. We finally put the movies in the past, live without limits, and focus solely on the series ahead.
Discover Westworld Website
On the podcast we talked about the new immersive promotional website Discover Westworld. There are cool interactive elements to the site that will add to your overall narrative during your visit to the park. For example if you want to “press” your luck, you can always try seeing the Westworld logo differently. If you “Shift” your perspective you might also see how scary humans can be. There is also an access panel at the top right of the screen. This will lead you to two places depending on the commands used. If you know what Delores tells us leads to Violent Ends you can see some cool behind the scenes information. But if you want to find out if you are a WHITEHAT or a BLACKHAT and leave all the space out of your decision, then you will presented with assessment to determine your deeper narrative profile.
Toward the bottom of the site is the map of Westworld. Your adventure begins in Sweetwater as you arrive by train. Feel free to look around at the other areas of westworld as you wait to get your detailed narrative profile and assessment from the website. Remember there are no rules, so live without limits!
What do you all think? What is the first scene we will see when the show begins Sunday Oct. 2nd?
About HBO’s Westworld
In 1973, celebrated author and filmmaker Michael Crichton released Westworld, his visionary idea of what a theme park could be as human-looking androids fulfilled our every desire. Four decades later, creators Jonathan and Lisa Joy Nolan are taking the concept to the next evolutionary step as Westworld can now be ‘fleshed’ out as a deeper concept that explores the vast array of potential and consequence from such advanced technology. The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite can live without limits, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
The cast of the series includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and more.
