Journey Into Night
Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we have a Season 2 Preview for you…
These violent delights have lengthy delays. We have been waiting since the end of 2016 to continue our visit at Westworld, and the moment has finally arrived! Season 1 went out with a bang when park mastermind Robert Ford unveiled his latest narrative, Journey Into Night, which culminated with Dolores becoming fully sentient, and murdering her make in the process.
Season 2 kicks off with the aptly titled “Journey Into Night”. Multiple timelines again emerge, though we witness these through a rather unreliable narrator. Bernard awakes confused, as time as slipped away from him, and events are rather fuzzy. Delos is attempting to take back over “the island”, and need the boss to assist.
Meanwhile, Dolores is on a rampage, rounding up guests and hosts alike. Get in line or under her wrath seems to be the new motto at the park. Elsewhere, Maeve teams up with Sizemore (which turns out to be a rather ironic name) in order to track down her estranged “daughter”. Both characters are on a path of retribution, yet seem to be approaching them in different ways.
Aaron and Troy kick open the saloon doors on another spectacular season of HBO’s hit series, Westworld, by breaking down every major character’s arc in the premiere episode. What is going on with Bernard? How far will Dolores’ rage take her? Is Maeve on her own path? Most importantly…is that TEDDY?
Grab your hat and your headphones, this podcast is the ONLY show which will not only cover the premiere in typical detail, it also features interviews with Elsie and Sizemore, as well as a recap of the recent press event in Boston. There are many violent delights to indulge in as we kick off Season 2 of Westworld.

Beyond Westworld Facebook group moderator Kyle from noreruns.net was fortunate enough to be at the Boston premiere on April 22nd. At the event He was able to interview Elsie played by Shannon Woodward and Sizemore played by Simon Quarterman. He also attended a post premiere Q&A with the both of them and that audio can be heard here for your listening pleasure. Keep in mind the audio quality is not the best but hopefully you can pick out a few nuggets.

About HBO’s Westworld
In 1973, celebrated author and filmmaker Michael Crichton released Westworld, his visionary idea of what a theme park could be as human-looking androids fulfilled our every desire. Four decades later, creators Jonathan and Lisa Joy Nolan are taking the concept to the next evolutionary step as Westworld can now be ‘fleshed’ out as a deeper concept that explores the vast array of potential and consequence from such advanced technology. The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite can live without limits, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.
The cast of the series includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and more.
