3. Vince Vaughn
Where do we even start? Vince Vaughn was another actor hand-picked by the great Spielberg. For Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Spielberg threw Vaughn into the fold and proclaimed his approval of the actor as a movie-star-to-be.
While Spielberg was right, no one thought he would grow into a comedic box office success. With Dodgeball, the motor-mouth actor began his comedy run as the go-to guy for fast talking idiots with a penchant for acting like a grown child. That was entertaining…for a while.
Now, audiences are rejecting him. His last several films have bombed and Vaughn is very close to a has-been. BUT this actor can ACT. Go back to his early work in Swingers or Clay Pigeons, this is a guy with Alec Baldwin potential to own any and every scene he becomes a part of. True Detective is a good start for Vince, he just needs to now stay away from those films he keeps going back to.
Vince, you have run this comedy thing as far as it is going to take you. Like Stiller, you need to get back to your roots and show the world what Vince Vaughn is truly capable of…before you end up reminding us solely through career retrospectives on AMC.
